Im getting a leopard gecko...?

Please dont use sand of any sort. It can cause impaction and the gecko can die. Calcium sand is the worst because it causes a semi-solid block in the digestive track. No bark ethier. Only solid substrate. I use mealworms. They are easyer to keep alive and dont make noise. Mine eat them more than crickets. The pet store people will most likly tell you that they need sand, and a rock heater. They are both bad. Sand causes impaction, and the rocks cause hot spots and burn geckos.
